A Photo a Day: a few minutes in the garden for a delicious blast of color

Day #2

I knew we had tomatoes, and maybe some greens, in the withering vegetable garden, so I grabbed my camera and a bowl.  The zucchini and the eggplants were a surprise — as were all the green lemons weighing down the branches of the tree.  Only one is just about yellow, but the rest will probably turn all at once.  I anticipate a big bowl of Greek avgolemeno soup. Soon. The roses are blooming beautifully and I got in close.  In this beginning of this California autumn, the colors are glorious . . . and certainly worthy of capturing on film . . . er, on digital? in pixels? Whatever.

Happy Day #2!
